Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Science and Technology Application and Research Center was established with the Senate Decision dated 11.07.2007 and numbered 2007-09-03, and its regulation was published in the Official Gazette dated 17.11.2008 and numbered 27057. In the same year, it was envisaged to establish a central research laboratory with a budget of approximately 9 million TL within the Center and the project was designed and submitted to SPO. The relevant project was accepted in 2008 and the construction of the laboratory with a closed area of 3300 m2 was started and the construction was completed in September 2012. Equipment purchases were made between 2010 and 2013.
The laboratory of our center provides services to the materials, energy, environment/health and food sectors and other related sub-sectors. In this context, main instruments such as ICP - MS, XRF, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, IC, STEM, XRD, Elemental Analyzer, TOC/TN, Raman spectrometer, FTIR, TG-DTA, DSC, GPC, BET and Ultra Pycnometer, UV spectrophotometer, cooled centrifuge and auxiliary auxiliary devices constitute the equipment park of our laboratory. Since its establishment, our laboratory has carried out and successfully completed large-scale projects with many public institutions. In addition to providing fast and high quality service with its new generation high-sensitivity devices and competent personnel, our Center, which is taking firm steps towards becoming a reference laboratory with the accreditation processes it has initiated, provides important support to the research infrastructure of the region.
